泰山位于山東省南部的泰安市。泰安市原名泰山市，泰山的名氣很大，所以把泰山取名作為市名，像樂山所在地點叫樂山市一樣。泰山是五岳之首。五岳分別為：東岳泰山 南岳衡山、中岳嵩山、西岳華山、 北岳恒山。東岳泰山排名第一，高度(主峰離地面的距離)排行第三，大約1545米高，有"登泰山，小天下"之稱。有許多名人均登臨泰山，如秦始皇 漢武帝 唐太宗 宋祖 乾隆。據(jù)記載，泰山至今已經(jīng)有二十億年的歷史。
