        第一篇:羅馬假日英文觀后感

Roman Holiday is a fun romantic comedy, but stays realistic with its commentary on society and royalty.

The story is about a beautiful young princess named Ann, making a goodwill tour of Europes capitals. However, she is tired of the responsibility and unhappy everyday till she meets her true love--a reporter Joe. Obviously, they have a good time and some comical adventures. It goes without saying that the time is unforgettable. Nevertheless in the end the truth comes out and the princess realizes that her duty to her country and family comes first. So she has to return to her official role reluctantly. If rewind the clock, the princess will make the same decision on account of the importance of her duty I think.

Love is the essence of the life. Nonetheless every story couldnt be perfect. At the end of the holiday, pain is happy, this is life.

        第二篇:羅馬假日英文觀后感

when people comment on this movie here, people all failed to mention another historic event which just happpend before the release of that movie in 1950s. Princess Anne of the British Royal family fell in love with a common man(who unfortunately was divorced--one needs to understand that in 1950s, divorces was like a dirty record in your credit history, which will damage your public image and credibility). It was also not acceptable at that to see a marriage between a common man and a lady with blue blood. IN constrast to King Edward who gave up royal position for her beloved one, she finally gave up this relationship under the tremendous pressure.

The cruel thing was that all news media published her give-in in headlines and it flashed on the street too. It was a sensational event in Uk and US.

Roman holiday almost replicated that story with unbelievably similar details. That's why it was so popular and so touching for many people in Europe and US.

this movie launched Audrey, an unknown and obscure swiss lady into stardom over night. She got Oscar that year and started her legend.

        第三篇:羅馬假日觀后感TheImpressionOfRomanHoliday

The story is about a young princess (公主) (Hepburn) named Ann, making a goodwill (善意的) tour of Europe's capitals. She is tired of the responsibility (職責(zé)) and demands of the role she has been born in to and longs to experience the every day pleasures of an ordinary person. In Rome she finally rebels. Waiting until after everyone in the embassy (大使館) where her party is staying has gone to sleep, she slips out a window and finds herself alone on the streets of Rome.

She is found by Joe Bradley (Peck), a hardened (堅毅的) and somewhat cynical (憤世嫉俗的) reporter, on his way home from a late night card game. Not knowing who she is but seeing that she has no place to stay he takes pity on her and invites her to his apartment for the night. In a comical (滑稽的) scene, he offers her a pair of his pajamas (睡衣) and points to the couch where she can sleep. Innocent (天真的) aristocrat (貴族) that she is, she asks for a nightgown and help undressing. Bradley helps her take off her tie and then leaves the room. When he returns a few minutes later he discovers her sound asleep on the bed, leaving him the couch (沙發(fā)).

Leaving her sleeping the next morning, Bradley shows up late for work and tries to cover himself by saying that he had an interview (采訪) with the princess. But his editor shows him a newspaper with her picture and headline stating that she was taken ill the night before and canceled all appointments (安排) for the day. Bradley immediately realizes who he has in his apartment and gets the editor to agree to pay $5,000 if he can get a real interview with the princess. On the way out Bradley contacts a photographer (攝影師) friend, Irving Radovich (Albert) and arranges for him to met him later with his camera for a big scoop.

Returning to his apartment, Bradley picks up the princess for their planned tour of the city. Bradley's real aim is to get the pictures and story he promised (答應(yīng)) his editor. But the innocent charm of the princess softens him and the two start to fall in love. They end up having a good time and some comical adventures (冒險). Bradley conceals the fact that he is a reporter who knows who she really is and she doesn't tell him that that she is a royal princess. But in the end the truth comes out and the princess realizes that her duty to her country and family come first and she reluctantly (不情愿地) returns to her official role.

The two meet briefly at the end during her press conference with other reporters. She addresses Bradley as Mr. Bradley just like the others. As he is leaving, Bradley, quietly slips her the photos that his friend Irving had taken and lets her know that his story and pictures of their time together will never be published (公布).

The charming Audrey Hepburn plays a modern princess who takes a day on Rome. She meets up with reporter Peck and wise-cracking photographer Albert. Peck and Hepburn fall in love, though Peck plans to sell an "exclusive story with the princess." Roman Holiday is a fun romantic comedy, but stays realistic (現(xiàn)實) with its commentary on society and royalty.

        第四篇:羅馬假日英文觀后感

Roman Holiday (1953) is a delightful, captivating fairy-tale romance shot entirely on location in Rome, and produced and directed by one of Hollywood's most skillful, distinguished, professional and eminent directors - William Wyler.

The film's bittersweet story is a charming romantic-comedy, a kind of Cinderella tale in reverse (with an April-October romance). A runaway princess (Hepburn) rebels against her royal obligations and escapes the insulated confines of her royal prison to find a 'Prince Charming' commoner - an American reporter (Peck) covering the royal tour in Rome. The story was reportedly based on the real-life Italian adventures of British Princess Margaret.

Wyler was known for other great films including Dodsworth (1936), Jezebel (1938), Wuthering Heights (1939), The Letter (1940), Mrs. Miniver (1942), The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), The Heiress (1949), Friendly Persuasion (1956), Ben-Hur (1959) and Funny Girl (1968). Wyler's well-crafted, stylish films that cover a wide range of film genres (family dramas, westerns, epics, romantic comedies, and even one musical) always included down-to-earth characters in real-life situations.

The film received a phenomenal ten Academy Award nominations for a comedy. It won a Best Actress Oscar for its under-experienced British (Belgium-born) actress named Audrey Hepburn - it was her first American film, although she had previously appeared in six European movies and on Broadway in an adaptation of Colette's Gigi. Another of the film's three Oscar awards, the one for Best Original Story was given to Ian McLellan Hunter. In 1992, a posthumous Oscar was properly credited and given to blacklisted Hollywood Ten author Dalton Trumbo, who actually wrote the screenplay. The third Oscar it received was for Best B/W Costume Design (Edith Head). The other seven nominations included: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor (Eddie Albert), Best Director, Best Screenplay (Ian McClellan Hunter and John Dighton), Best B/W Cinematography, Best B/W Art Direction/Set Decoration, and Best Film Editing.

        第五篇:羅馬假日英文觀后感

With a very nice blend of fantasy and reality, and two very likable stars, "Roman Holiday" is both entertaining and thoughtful. Sometimes it is very funny, and at other times it makes you feel a great sympathy and warmth towards the characters. Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck are ideal in the leading roles, and the story is very clever in getting a lot of mileage out of a si-mp-le idea without pushing things too far, which makes it quite effective.

The idea of PrinceAnn (Audrey) slipping away unnoticed and unrecognized for a day of fun and freedom from responsibility is of course fanciful, but it works for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is Peck's role as a pragmatic newsman. He is a good balance for Hepburn's charm and energy, remaining calm and logical without ever becoming cold or distant. You feel as if you could spend a lot more than a couple of hours in their company. And how could you improve on Eddie Albert's performance as Peck's photographer friend? The movie also adds in the atmosphere of Rome itself, with some creative scenes that make good use of the setting.

There are many fine moments in a story that at times seems almost like a daydream, and then it brings the characters back to reality in a moving way. It's not an easy combination to pull off, but here it all fits together very well, to make the kind of classic worth remembering, and one which you can watch and enjoy more than once.
