各位游客大家好，西湖以其一山二堤三島十景而聞名于世，而在西湖十景中，雷峰夕照是唯一損毀又恢復(fù)的景點(diǎn)，現(xiàn)在我們所來(lái)到的便是剛對(duì)外開(kāi)放不久的雷峰塔景區(qū)。
各位可能還記得在兩年前，也就是2001年3月11日，中央電視臺(tái)和浙江電視臺(tái)曾連袂直播了發(fā)掘雷峰塔遺址的過(guò)程，當(dāng)時(shí)在雷峰塔的地宮還發(fā)掘出很多文物，其中最珍貴的就是供奉佛祖釋迦牟尼發(fā)髻舍利子的阿玉王塔。我們現(xiàn)在所看到的塔就是在老塔的遺址之上，這樣的建筑形式很好的保護(hù)了原塔的遺址，而這種建筑格式在目前尚屬首創(chuàng)?，F(xiàn)在就請(qǐng)大家跟隨我走上電梯一同到塔里去看一番究竟。
好，各位游客，我們現(xiàn)在所來(lái)到的是雷峰塔的遺址保護(hù)層，在我們面前用玻璃罩罩著的便是老雷峰塔的遺址。
透過(guò)玻璃罩，我們可以看到塔的遺址，在正前方有臺(tái)階可以上去的就是塔的正南門(mén)，老塔共有八個(gè)門(mén)，分別對(duì)應(yīng)八個(gè)方向，而我們現(xiàn)在游覽的新塔，塔門(mén)也是和老塔相對(duì)應(yīng)的。旁邊有木臺(tái)階的是前兩年發(fā)掘雷峰塔地宮時(shí)，專家學(xué)者們走的。
看后可從塔內(nèi)樓梯步行上至二層，俯瞰老雷峰塔遺址。
各外可能要問(wèn)，這座塔為何叫雷峰塔呢？其實(shí)也很簡(jiǎn)單，在過(guò)去這里叫夕照山，山上有個(gè)姓雷的老翁，老百姓也就稱這座山為雷峰山，山上的塔也就稱為雷峰塔。當(dāng)然，這個(gè)雷峰和學(xué)習(xí)雷鋒好榜樣的雷鋒可是完全不同的兩個(gè)概念。
各位游客，看過(guò)雷峰塔遺址后，我們從外面的臺(tái)階上到塔的第三層，這層也是新塔的第一層。在這里，我們將直接乘電梯上到頂層。
